The Villa was built in 1986 and the lake had never been used for fishing before. The lake opened up at the end of August 2004 for the first time for people to fish.

The lake of just over an acre lies at the front of the house in a small valley approximately 150 mtrs away from the Villa and the whole lake is easily accessible. Fishing with Carp Rods would be ideal for 3 anglers. Four can fish if you are all sensible, which is up to you.  Andy has now also built a peg on the opposite side of the lake, so that you can bask in the summer sun whilst catching our stunning carp. 

In 2021, Andy removed all the trees and foilage that edge the lake, so that you can fish all sides of the lake (stalking can still be done on the far bank under the trees).

The lake has been extremely well stocked and contains Carp (Both Mirror, Common & Grass).

IN DECEMBER 2018 WE WERE DELIGHTED TO ADD 3 NEW FISH TO OUR CARP FAMILY, EACH WEIGHING WELL OVER 30LB.

2 x Common Carp now known as Lady Grace & Feisty Faith.

1 x Mirror Carp known as Big Jimmy.

Coarse/Float fishing would not be a problem.  

Unhooking mats are provided for your use and a small rowing boat is also available to use in case it is required.

Guests can pre-order Boilies, Pellets from us.  A full pricing schedule will be sent to you at the time of your booking. If you order bait from us, we will ensure your order is waiting at Wills Lake France on the day of your arrival.

We do have some Fishing Tackle at the Villa that can be hired.  If you arrive at Wills Lake France and find you have left an important piece of equipment in the hallway at home, dont panic, just give us a call, we are sure we will be able to help. We do have a limited stock of rods, bed chairs, rod pods and other equipment that you may need to catch you PB Carp.
