Need to Know

A reservation payment of £300 per week is required. The Reservation Form should be fully completed and returned with your payment of £300 to confirm the reservation. This reservation payment is NON refundable and your remaining balance will be due for payment no less that 16 weeks prior to your holiday commencement date.

An additional security deposit of £200 (ALL male groups £300) is required for each week booked in case of damage to the property, its contents or any breaking of our rules, terms and conditions. However, the sum reserved by this clause does not limit your liability to us. We will account to you for the security deposit and refund the monies due within two weeks of the receipt of your holiday form. The security deposit is payable with your final payment.

Prices are shown for up to 8 Occupants (Adults/Children) for the Exclusive use of the whole property and carp lake for a week on a Saturday to Saturday basis, with all electric and water bills included. We can cater for a 9th & 10th person which would be sleeping on good quality folding beds in the Mezzanine – there would be an additional charge of £80.00 per person per week for the 9th & 10th person (Adult or Child).

Yes – The balance of the payment, PLUS the security deposit of £200 (£300 for ALL male party) must be paid in full at least 16 weeks before commencement of your trip into the same account. Once Final Payment has been received (including the reduced Final Payment to receive the early payment discount of 10%) no refund is available and clause i) and ii) under Section 7, ‘Cancellation Fees’, become not applicable. If the balance due is not received 16 weeks before the date of the start of your holiday, we will deem the booking as cancelled and charge a cancellation fee as described in point 7. When we receive the balance of the holiday cost we will send you confirmation of payment received and the details of how to find the property.

If you cancel your holiday, you will be liable for a cancellation fee based on the following (NO refund is payable if you took advantage of our early payment option to save 10%):

i) cancellation 16 weeks or more before trip date – Cancellation Fee is your £300 reservation payment only

ii) cancellation less than 16 weeks before trip date – Cancellation Fee is the full cost of trip

Well behaved dogs may be allowed by prior agreement – under NO circumstances should a dog be allowed on the beds or in the pool.

This is a NO-SMOKING villa. Please do not smoke inside the Villa – IF YOU DO, YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED.

Yes, wi-fi is included and the password is in the house.

As Wills Lake France is a private lake for your sole use, there is no legal requirement for you to purchase a French Fishing Licence.  If you plan on fishing elsewhere, please see our THINGS TO DO page that will give you advice on what & where to purchase a Public Fishing Licence.

This privacy policy informs you what to expect for any personal information that is collected for Wills Lake France.

This relates to personal information we collect in connection with your booking, holiday stay and future marketing for Wills Lake France only. This information includes, but may not be limited to:

PEOPLE WHO CONTACT US VIA SOCIAL MEDIA

No information is retained unless specifically requested. No information will be shared with any other organisations, however if consent has been provided, quotes, recommendations, reviews and photographs will be shared with previous, current and potential customers.

PEOPLE WHO EMAIL US

We will monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

Emails will be retained, however no information will be shared with any other organisations unless specifically requested or required by legitimate interest.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE ASK FOR, AND WHY?

We do not collect more information than we need to fulfil our stated purposes and will not retain it for longer than is necessary.

USE OF DATA PROCESSORS 

Data processors are third parties who provide elements of our service for us. We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Caretakers – for the duration of your stay at Wills Lake France
  • Emergency Services – for the safety/security of yourself or the property

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you.

The right to be informed – you have the right to be provided with information about how your data is processed, the reason for processing and all other relevant and necessary information to ensure that transparent processing is adhered to.

The right to be given access – you have the right to know if your data is being processed, information about the purpose of processing, information about the period for which data is stored, information regarding restricting data processing, the source of data collection and you can request a copy of any personal data that is being stored.

The right to be forgotten – you have the right to have your personal data erased if the data is no longer needed for the original purpose of processing, you remove your consent or if the data has been processed incorrectly.

The right to move, copy or transfer – you have the right to obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across different services. It allows you to move, copy or transfer data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way, without hindrance to usability.

The right to be able to rectify or change – you are entitled to have your personal data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

The right to restrict processing – you have a right to ‘block’ or suppress processing of personal data. When processing is restricted, we are permitted to store the personal data but not further process it.

The right to object – you have a right to object to your data being processed for the purpose of public interest or legitimate interests of the controller. Where your objection is justified, the data controller will cease the data processing.

The right to be protected – this encompasses our role and responsibility as a data controller. We are responsible to ensure that we are adequately risk managing all data processing activities.

ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

We endeavour to be as open as we can in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘Subject Access Request’. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • give you a description of the information
  • tell you why we are holding the information
  • tell you who the information could be disclosed to
  • let you have a copy of the information

To make a ‘Subject Access Request’ you need to put the request in writing addressing it to Customer Care at our address provided below. Please be aware that we will require photographic ID to confirm your identify and will also need to undertake further security checks to ensure that the request is being made legitimately.
