The property is located near a small village called Bessines-sur-Gartempe, which is in the region of Limousin in France and comes under the department of Haute-Vienne.  We are around 400 miles South of Calais.

Driving time from Calais is around 6.5 hours, depending on traffic and on how many times you stop!  You can also go to Le Havre or Caen which are both shorter driving times, around 4.5 hours, but the ferry journey is longer.  The drive from either Ferry Port, takes you through the many beautiful villages of France and you will see stunning scenery on the way.  You will also find the Motorway Services a joy, even the locals go to the Motorway Services for picnics!!

The drive is very easy being on motorway roads virtually all the way.  If you have not driven in France before don’t panic its easier and more pleasurable than the UK!

The roads are far less congested than in the UK and very easy to drive on.  However, we would suggest that you keep away from Paris in the rush hour, as this can get very busy.

Don’t like long drives?? Then why not fly into Limoges Airport and Hire a Car for the duration of your holiday.  Flights from the UK to Limoges Airport are very cheap and only a 30 minute drive to Wills Lake France.

Following your final payment, we will forward to you a full Holiday Pack, which will provide directions to Wills Lake France and the Local Supermarket (nothing worse than trying to find the local supermarket in a foreign country after a long journey).
